Sonia Chahal
Senior Administrative Officer

Sonia Chahal is an administrative operations management professional with over a decade of progressive leadership experience within the UC system. Most recently, she served as the Special Projects Manager to the Chancellor & Dean at UC Law SF (formerly UC Hastings). She has a passion for fostering organizational growth, impact, and community, and is dedicated to driving holistic success through effective collaboration and forward-thinking strategies. Sonia manages all of BIDMaP's administrative operations, including events and interdepartmental collaborations. She earned a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) and a master's of business administration from California State University, East Bay.
 

She is a Bay Area native from Hayward, CA, and a proud daughter of immigrants. In her free time, she enjoys baking, yoga, reading mystery novels, and sipping a good iced coffee while strolling along the Bay Trail.
